Left one just started as I missed day one due to a cancelled bus ride.
Read below about lessons learned on riding the waves of change.

Living with a four-generation family has been a practice in flexibility, perspective, and surrender. We are currently residing in three riverside casitas, all within walking distance of one another—six adults, one toddler, one newborn. While things are going well, there are moments when my own plans have had to take a back seat leading to points of contention. Yes, we are human after all.

One particular day, everything I hoped to do—small plans and big events alike—was blocked due to family member actions. Frustration built, disappointment overflowed, and I finally let myself have a good old-fashioned temper tantrum (not unlike my three-year-old grandson). A few strong screams in the privacy of my car released the emotional pressure I could no longer hold.

Then, in the quiet that followed, this message came through:

Instead of planning your life, why not just live your life and remain curious about what happens next?

In that steamy moment, something shifted. My perspective changed. My operating system upgraded. Since then, I still make plans—but I hold them lightly, trusting that divine intervention may redirect me at any moment. Especially in Costa Rica.

The jungle has a way of pulling me fully into the present—with family, friends, and real life unfolding in real time.

May you too be drawn into the miracle of now.

As we welcome the return of the solstice sun, I’m grateful for the Light that guides us all.

May we walk forward in love and joy this new year.

Happy Holy Days.
